“Frank Shiner – Meeting the Quiet Genius and Going Home Again”
featuring the songs “To Turn You On” “Long Long Day” and “The Heart Of Saturday Night”[/vc_column_text][vc_message color=”alert-info” style=”3d”]Previously, on StrongWriter On the Radio, I had another visit from a rising star in New York City – singer Frank Shiner.  Today’s episode continues our earlier conversation, where he shares how he met Gary Katz, the producer of Frank’s debut album, The Real Me.  I also catch up with his career in the Big Apple, headlining at two legendary clubs and sharing his new music with appreciative and enthusiastic audiences.  I learn about Frank’s experience as he returned to his old stomping grounds in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to perform and receive a special proclamation!  Finally, I get quick takes from Mr. Shiner on three songs from the album.  I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as we did![/vc_message][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text h1_css=”{.vc_customizer_1419192001839}” h2_css=”{.vc_customizer_1419192001840}” h3_css=”{.vc_customizer_1419192001841}” h4_css=”{.vc_customizer_1419192001841}” h5_css=”{.vc_customizer_1419192001842}” h6_css=”{.vc_customizer_1419192001843}” p_css=”{.vc_customizer_1419192001844}” link_css=”{.vc_customizer_1419192001844}” list_css=”{.vc_customizer_1419192001845}”]

1) You will always get a real, human, voice that is not overly processed and without cheating.

2) I will always be able to sing live the same way you hear me on my recordings

3) I will only do songs which I love or to which I am emotionally connected.

4) I will always give you the best I can give and I will never “phone it in.”

5) I have accepted a position as an “entertainer”… Therefore I will entertain. I will not bore you with my political leanings. The way I look at it, no matter what side of the political spectrum I choose to spew my opinions, I will alienate and annoy the opposite side. Therefore, half of my audience will not be entertained and I will not be fulfilling my duty. There is a time and a place for everything. Entertainment should not be tarnished by personal opinions. Besides, an entertainer’s point of view is no more important than anyone else’s.

If I should ever let you down on any of these points, I invite you to let me know.
