Not Your Ordinary Music Podcast

"I just want to say that if you really love music, and music makes you feel something special, please listen to Dean Olson's StrongWriter podcast or watch his TV episodes.  Anytime you get a chance to listen to Dean, you're going to feel great.  And the music is going to sound differently to you as you listen from your soul.  Don't take my word for it, take yours... and check out Dean Olson!"
"Great show. I enjoyed chatting with Dean, it was like talking with an old friend."
"My interview with Dean was great. He’s a musician who doesn’t just speak music he speaks and understands the narrative. He understands what songwriters and other creatives experience when designing musical ideas and because of that navigates some very insightful pathways that bring the storytellers story to life. Dean’s show is a fun experience and he’s a great guy."
"StrongWriter on the Radio is an honest, open hearted and genuinely supportive podcast shining a light on independent music. I'm so honored that Dean chose to interview me for his show. He's a fabulous host!"

“What a great experience it was to be a part of Dean Olson’s StrongWriter On The Radio Show. Dean is a talented singer/songwriter in his own right, which adds to his insightfulness and ability to get interesting conversations going when interviewing other artists. My hour interview with him flew by and was so very enjoyable; he even made me sound interesting 😊 .”
"Had a great conversation with Dean from StrongWriter On The Radio. He is genuine and easy to talk to, and very supportive of artists and their music. Was a pleasure all around! Thanks for the support Dean!"

“So, what happens on your show / podcast?”

Some great positive conversation and stories to go with the music.  I do my best to make the show an art form just as any musical artist would to his or her project.  Each episode of my series is recorded and produced entirely by myself.  This is not meant as a brag, but rather an attempt to inform you that I approach this unique craft with a great deal of love and care.

“Helping Songwriters Become Musically Fit”

This tagline should help describe my intentions. Songwriters of all stripes can be expressive, artistic, and emotional, to name just a few adjectives.

Whether they are confident or not, songwriters can experience many gloomy or stormy conditions on the road to their dreams. Too often, these conditions and setbacks can weaken one’s spirit. I want to help you be strong! I want you to be a StrongWriter!

I plan to provide you with helpful song tips and advice, but to also give you uplifting positive articles, videos, and interviews.

From a very early age, Dean Olson always knew that one day, he would have his own radio show.  He just wasn’t sure exactly how he would accomplish this. Ever since the age of eight, when he received a brand new tape recorder and his dad showed him how to do simple tricks with it, Dean has been practicing home recording on a budget constantly over the years.  Believing that his love of cartooning, making music or becoming a radio broadcaster would not translate into a stable career, Dean traveled the long road to achieving his dreams.  Since meeting the love of his life in 1982, Dean made marriage and raising their two children to adulthood his number one priority.  He has been working on songwriting and recording since 1998,  with the dream of sharing it on the internet or radio.  In 2009,  Dean launched Strongwriter Productions, where he would interview music experts that would inspire him to keep creating.  After five decades, he finally found his voice and his audience with the help of a successful radio and media entrepreneur, Raven Blair Glover.  Since its debut in 2014, “Strongwriter On the Radio” is heard on the Amazing Men & Women Of Power Radio Network by 3 miilion people in over 150 countries.  In 2019, the show was launched in podcast form on several major sites (iTunes /Apple, iHeart Radio, Spotify, etc.)  and prime episodes are accessible on the Raven International TV channel (app available on Roku, Amazon Fire TV.)   From well known celebrities in music such as Thomas Dolby, Toni Tennille, Richard M. Sherman and Bunny DeBarge to independent artists, they all have a valuable story to tell.  Even actors with a musical background have relevant advice, most recently “Happy Days” stars Anson Williams and Donny Most.  Anyway you listen to them, Dean’s interviews are crafted to “learn from the best in the business and pass it along to you!”
