Today's episode is another special one featuring a very dear guest who has graced my show more than a couple of times. And SHANTELL OGDEN sat down with me once again to tell my audience about her love of telling stories and her gratitude for the gift of music. She was also promoting her sixth studio album SONG SAMPLER VOL. 1 & 2... therefore I featured three songs: "Love On the Fast Track" "Heart That Breaks Me" and "On a Haystack" The last two tracks are exclusive acoustic versions performed by Shantell through home video. We talked about the usual subjects dear to Shantell's heart, including her "fur kid," a golden lab puppy named Thelma Lu. Finally, Shantell closes the episode with some wise homespun advice that everyone can take to heart, especially during this 2020 pandemic. She is my personal face of the quintessential songwriter, a dairy farm girl who followed her dreams to Nashville and decided to stay awhile. And I'm glad I get to be her friend.
