It was a true pleasure to spend an afternoon talking about songwriting (and other subjects) with a woman who is the face of the band that bears her name - CASS CLAYTON. This Boulder, Colorado-based songwriter and musician only got into the music game a few short years ago, but it hardly shows. The passion for her craft combined with the confidence in her soulful voice gives Cass a little extra edge that fans have really been enjoying. That, and her collaboration with Denver-based musician Taylor Scott have produced a very cool sounding album called "PLAY NICE," which has evolved into a deluxe edition with almost double the tracks. This episode, which clocks in at 2 hours and 22 minutes, explores the usual getting-acquainted conversation and songwriting themed bonding. But along the way, you will get to hear Cass and me dive deep into some tracks that will demonstrate why the Cass Clayton Band is so popular and special.
