Maybe you'll recognize the title of today's episode as sounding like a Bob Dylan song. Well, stay tuned... It was time spent well when I interviewed LUKE LeBLANC, a twenty-five year old singer-songwriter from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has a voice that sounds very classic to me, much more mature than his physical age, and his songwriting is definitely on the ball. It ought to be, seeing as he won a Bob Dylan themed songwriting competition called the "Zimmie's" in Hibbing, Minnesota, about 75 miles from Dylan's birthplace. Luke definitely has that vibe, but he has a style all his own, and he was kind enough to perform his most current song "Sally" on the show. I probably kept him on for too long, but Luke definitely was willing to dive deep into his songwriting and share stories about how he started in music at a young age. Plus, Luke shares how he has being doing during this pandemic and closes with a positive message. I hope you will enjoy visiting with this young man whose talent and hard work never stops!

ABOUT LUKE LeBLANC
Luke LeBlanc is a Minneapolis-based Americana / Folk singer-songwriter who delivers dynamic and unapologetically original performances of songs filled with heart, soul, and grit. According to music critic Dwight Hobbes, “abundant as the Twin Cities music scene is in eyebrow-raising talent, Luke LeBlanc’s ear-friendly, indeed entrancing music marks him as a stand-out talent.”
Luke’s most recent single, “Same Blues,” has been featured on 89.3 the Current and has received critical acclaim from numerous music magazines, including Vents. He is currently working on his newest album, slated to be released in late spring 2020.
Now 24, LeBlanc taught himself how to play guitar at 11 years old and decided to write his own words and music soon after. At 13, he was the youngest to win the Zimmy’s (named after Robert Zimmerman, aka Bob Dylan) national Dylan influenced singer-songwriter competition in Hibbing, Minnesota. Born and raised in Minneapolis’ Northside, LeBlanc played South by Southwest in Texas in 2017 and found himself opening for Charlie Parr, Phil Solem of the Rembrandts, Joey Molland of Badfinger, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and the Ozark Mountain Daredevils.
